Come and share your ideas at our first PTO Meeting at 6:30 on September 15 in the Media Center!  At the first meeting we will present the proposed budget for the year and go over the programs and events offered by the CSC PTO.  Please plan to attend.

Welcome New Faculty and Staff

We would like to welcome to our school this year Ryan Peters (Fifth Grade), Leslie Weinbaum (Talent Development), Marie Corriveau (Psychiatrist), Kathy Shuey (ESOL), and Sheila Leone (Health Assistant).  We were sad to say our goodbyes to Jill Sample (Psychiatrist), Sarah Pumphrey (First Grade), and Shira Dowling.

Attention New Volunteers

Volunteer Orientation is scheduled for Thursday September 3.  Anne Arundel County Board of Ed requires all volunteers to view their video before working with children.  Choose either the 9:30 or 12:30 viewing time.  If you have any questions, please contact Geralyn Valente 410-693-9798 or vpvolunteers@cscpto.org.

Citizen’s Advisory Committee

We are excited to announce that CSCES will have a Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) beginning this year.  The CAC is simply a committee of any community members who would like to be more informed and involved with what is happening in our county school system.  Look for our information table at Back to Schoool Night on September 8 or come to the first PTO meeting on September 15 for a brief presentation!  You can also contact Heather Kilpatrick 410-757-7325 or Jennie Gordon 410-349-8082.

The Ice Cream Social

The Ice Cream Social will be held on October 23.  It is an exciting way to meet other CSC families and friends.  There will be lots of food, games, prizes, and of course, ice cream!  Plan to bring the whole family.  The Committee is asking for volunteers to help with games.  Please contact Helen Bragaw, vpfundraising@cscpto.org, if interested in becoming the chairperson for the games.

The Hospitality Committee

We would like to encourage you to join the PTO Hospitality Committee and to help in showing our teachers and staff our appreciation in various ways throughout the year.  If you would like to help, please email Vicki Jenkins, vicky.jenkins@verizon.net .

Coming this fall… Cape St. Claire Elementary spiritwear!!!  Show your school spirit and order top quality spiritwear items!  Many styles and options to choose from.  Flyers/order forms coming soon.  Don’t be caught without one!
