Congratulations to the Woodchucks who came in 2nd place at the State Tournament. They will be on their way to Tennessee at the end of May. Good Luck! Congratulations also to the Seven Soaring Seagulls who won the Spirit of DI Award for outstanding teamwork and for taking a risk. We are very proud of all of you!
At the Regional 24 Game Competition, our school was represented by Austin Miller, Michaela Johnson, Keagan Casey, Clara Brechtel, Buddy Wenz, Aaron Bayne and AJ Williams. We would like to wish Buddy Wenz good luck, as he will be competing at the County competition held May 7. Congratulations! We are proud of all of you.
We are in need of a chairperson next year for the School Directory. All work can be done from home and completed by November. You definitely do not want to be without this book next year. Please contact Vicky Jenkins with any questions (410-626-7172).
Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers this year. After all the copying, cutting, laminating, shopping, chessie questions, organizing parties and the list goes on and on, we accumulated over 7650 hours so far and the year is not over yet. You have made our teachers lives easier and they are very grateful. Please contact Geralyn Valente at Valente94@verizon.net if you would like to help with anything. If we do not hear from you, we will never know you want to be called.
The PTO does a lot for our school, with all of our events, fundraisers, parties and not to mention all the help we give to our great teachers and staff here at the school. We know times are tough, things happen, but our PTO president and treasurer would like to ask the members who have out standing checks with us to please make good on them. The year is coming to an end and the PTO needs to wrap things up. Letters have been sent home to the members and calls have been made. Now it is my turn to ask. We do not need any explanations we just want you to make good. Thank you
The PTO would like to let everyone know that the big slide at the school is being taken away. It is 20 years old and the county feels it has seen better days. Many of our children have had great times on this slide, whether they use it during recess, at SACC or during Soccer games. So farewell old friend we will miss you.
Our May PTO meeting will be held on the 13th at 6:30 in the media center. This meeting we will be nominating candidates for board positions.
As always we will welcome additional nominees from the floor.
