It’s TGIF and what a better way to celebrate Friday than by visiting the Book Fair today! It’s open until 8pm and don’t forget about the Teacher Silent Auction and Sno Cones from 6:30 to 8pm. We hope to see you there.
As has been the custom this week, we bring you today’s Book of the Day, courtesy of Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds. From the website:
“In this Caldecott Honor Book, The Twilight Zone comes to the carrot patch as a rabbit fears his favorite treats are out to get him. Jasper Rabbit loves carrots ? especially Crackenhopper Field carrots. He eats them on the way to school. He eats them going to Little League. He eats them walking home. Until the day the carrots start following him…or are they?”
This book is perfect for the 1st through the 3rd grade. Interested in purchasing this book? You can do so by clicking here to order it online and give our book fair credit or stop by the Book Fair in the Cape St. Claire Elementary School Media Center until 8pm!
Have a great Friday!
Although the weather has turned cold prematurely and Thanksgiving is still a little bit off, it isn’t too early to think about Christmas time. The book of the day today is The Angel Tree by Daphne Benedis-Grab. From the website:
“Every Christmas in the small town of Pine River, a tree appears in the town square – the Angel Tree. Some people tie wishes to the tree, while others make those wishes come true. Nobody’s ever known where the tree comes from, but the mystery has always been part of the tradition’s charm. This year, however, four kids who have been helped – Lucy, Joe, Max, and Cami – are determined to solve the mystery and find out the true identity of the town’s guardian angel so that Pine River can finally thank the person who brought the Angel Tree to their town.”
This book is perfect for the 4th through the 6th grade. Interested in purchasing this book? You can do so by clicking here to order it online and give our book fair credit or stop by the Book Fair in the Cape St. Claire Elementary School Media Center.
